Each camel driver sat on something different – a duffle bag, a stack of bundled firewood, camel saddle blankets, sleeping blankets, a wooden crate for supplies, a water barrel, a metal egg crate, or a grain sack. Their informal circle just outside their white canvass cook tent complete with shepherd’s stove pipe sticking out was classic. This was my favorite sketch of the whole trip.
